Hello,
DevOps Engineer

Proekspert bridges the gap between the digital and the physical. We build world-changing solutions by combining data science and product development expertise with a design thinking approach.

Always more than just a software company, we have worked on clever machines and industrial automation, smart screws, production lines, complex device integrations, banking backbones, and management automatics: in short, advancing the new industrial revolution. Our code makes elevators move, heating systems run. Our software helps to grow useful bacteria, makes business decisions. It can analyze satellite images and is used to provide self-service to millions of people.

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to work on a large-scale project with a sizeable infrastructure providing digital services to millions of customers.

You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance and cost effectiveness of these services. You will help to evolve the infrastructure & delivery pipelines, improve system observability and performance and proactively mitigate reliability risks.

What you will do:

  • Ensure the reliability of the IT systems through application monitoring.
  • Monitor servers and databases, integrations between systems, applications logs and load. Proactively react to notifications and resolve incidents.
  • Collect and analyze operational data, define and monitor key metrics to identify and communicate areas for improvement.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement enhancements, configure changes and updates in order to improve the overall platform reliability.
  • Validate new system needs against the Non-Functional Requirements established by the customer. Ensure that the infrastructure is aligned with the internal and external customer’s needs.

Requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of practical work as a DevOps Engineer in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Experience with ELK Stack (Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana) and monitoring & observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus).
  • Git/Gitflow/Git Stack for version control and code tracking & management.
  • Expertise in building and managing automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in working with Docker containers & container orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
  • Good understanding of relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL) and strong SQL scripting skills.
  • Willingness to work as a part of a DevOps team rather than a development team and to carry sole responsibility for a system.
  • Fluent Estonian language.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Development and architectural skills.
  • Sysadmin skills: familiarity with Linux/Unix systems, Bash.
  • Programming skills in Java, Python.
  • Experience working in big corporations and with complex systems.

Benefits

We value individual freedom, decision-making and proactiveness. In our self-organising and supportive work environment, teamwork is of the utmost importance.

What we offer:

  • Interesting, steady work. Our projects have a positive impact on people and the world.
  • We value the well-being of our people and their families.
  • Inspiring community and teams, who support and mentor you.
  • An exciting benefits package, including a personal growth budget and profit-sharing.
  • A motivational program and competitive salary.
  • Working hours: Full-time
  • Location: Estonia
